This is my yearbook story.
I was a normal high schooler trying to find my path. Before I spent 3 years in this program, I was lost. I had been in a place of confusion and I thought I had no purpose. I needed to find a passion to keep me alive. I was drowning in the idea that I was nothing.
Then I came across a program that changed my life forever. Within the walls of room 305 I became part of the Grand Blanc High School ECHO staff. I was thrown into the world of journalism. Learning interviewing, photography, transcribing, and AP style writing... these things were just the beginning of what I would learn.
I have learned to work in a team with people creatively. I have learned to stay on top of deadlines. I have learned that telling someone's story can change the lives of many, not just one. I have learned that looking at things in a new way will change your view on life. I have learned life is driven by passion.
From 2017-2020 I have spent in this program built me into the person I am today. I am Bella Bupp the photographer. I am now following my dreams all because of this program, and I will never regret the decision of becoming a part of something bigger the Grand Blanc Yearbook ECHO Staff.
MY ROLE ON STAFF
-
Blanc Slate 2017-2018
This was my staffer year of yearbook when I learned what it meant to be a journalist. I was working on pages non-stop and joined my fellow staffers in creating a book that showcased our town.

One more thing 2018-2019
My first year as a Photo editor. I was able to teach photography this year. I got to share my passion with the class. I loved working on projects for the program: the photo studio, bootcamp, photographing events, working on pages and simply going on photo shoot with the staffers.

Open Up 2019-2020
This year I returned as a photo editor. I have continued to improve the photo studio. I have pushed myself to teach the staff photography in more creative ways. I always made it a goal to connect one on one with the staffers when answering questions all about photography and Photoshop.
