MY DREAMS TURNED INTO A REALITY
At the age of 16, I had a crazy idea to start my own photography company. I had a dream and ran with it. Now I have over 550 followers on Instagram, and I get recognition for my work, and I get to do this for the rest of my life.
Art has always been a big part of my life, but I never knew what medium spoke to me most. Then I picked up a camera. I have made it my mission with my photography to make my subjects feel beautiful.
And with BMB.Photography I get to make everyone I photograph see their beauty.
Now that I am a senior in high school, I have to decide what I want to do in the years ahead. I want to be a Professional Photographer. I have started building a studio in my house, marketing my brand more, and looking for more internships.
PHOTOSHOOTS
The first part of my business, I started was senior portraits. I began with people I knew. Then it grew to people connecting me and asking for time and dates for bookings. At this moment, I realized I could grow my business and do photo shoot for anyone who asked.
CREATIVE PHOTOSHOOTS
When asked to do more outgoing photo shoots I jumped at the chance. I was able to explore all mediums of art well doing the one I loved the most. With these types of photo shoots, I could edit in weird and explosive ways. I love taking photos that push the boundaries.
FAMILY PHOTOS
Working with kids was one of my biggest challenges. I had to learn to not only make it fun for me, but most importantly make it fun for them. With this I was able to understand the true meaning of getting to know your subject. I began on the same level as them and then I could really start to work with them to explore the possibility.
EVENTS
I have always loved taking photos of people one on one, but I have learned to love event shooting. I have done many events, including wedding showers, baby showers, concerts, bridal showers, church events, etc.
